Dearborn Steel Express continues to maintain the highest safety rating with the Department of Transportation (DOT), and that rating has remained unchanged since 1992. We also maintain registration and the highest safety rating with the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario, Canada.

Dearborn Steel Express has a CSA rating that is above both the national average and that of our competitors. Equipment operating for Dearborn Steel Express is inspected by objective outside firms at a frequency far in excess of the minimum required by the DOT.
The Safety Department at ‘Express’ continuously monitors our CSA in all BASIC areas to ensure compliance. Dearborn Steel Express’ Safety Department also utilizes some of the latest technology available including live GPS Tracking of our fleet and Remote Safety Monitoring.
Our performance record is among the highest when compared to our transportation competitors.
The entire fleet of trucks and trailers at Dearborn Steel Express are expertly maintained by in-house certified ACE expert mechanics in our new 20,000 sq ft on-site maintenance facility. DOT inspections are performed quarterly, not yearly as required. PM services are also done at more frequent intervals to ensure our equipment is always in top notch condition.
